SBPLI Hosts the FIRST® Robotics INFO Night on July 18

Free Event for Parents, Educators and other Interested Adults to Learn About FIRST® Robotics Programs

School-Business Partnerships of Long Island, Inc. (SBPLI) will be presenting a full and detailed description of all FIRST® (For Inspiration & Recognition of Science and Technology) programs for students ages six through eighteen, including FIRST® LEGO® League Jr., FIRST® LEGO® League, FIRST® Tech Challenge, and FIRST® Robotics Competition. INFO Night is taking place on Tuesday, July 18 at 7 PM at the Plainview-Old Bethpage Public Library located at 999 Old Country Road, Plainview. This event is for adults only and admission is free.

 

Participants will learn about the STEM benefits of the program, how to start new teams, network with others, and learn about all the resources available to help them from SBPLI and FIRST®. Please note that it is not possible to place students on teams.

 

FIRST® LEGO® League Jr. is for student ages six to nine, FIRST® LEGO® League (nine to sixteen), FIRST® Tech Challenge (12 to 18) and FIRST® Robotics Competition (14 to 19).
