SBPLI also announced the winners of its first Fred Breithut Scholarship Award. The winner was Brian Jaworski of Walt Whitman High School Robotics Team #2161, Huntington Station, NY. SBPLI and Farmingdale State College provided funding for the scholarship. Brian will go to Farmingdale State College on this scholarship in pursuing careers in engineering, science or technology.

SBPLI named Chris Foley, New Product Development Engineer, Motorola Solutions, and Stephanie Stern, Principal, GenPath Women’s Health, as its Volunteers of the Year. The Fred Breithut Award went to Lindsay Bauer of Lindenhurst High School Robotics Team #533. Roy Powell, mentor for the Longwood High School Robotics Team #564, received the Regional Woodie Flowers Award. Winners of the Dean’s List Finalist Award were Steven Kelly of the Hicksville High School Robotics Team #1468 and Joshua Graber of the Great Neck South High School Robotics Team #2638.
