SBPLI Announces First-Ever Fred Breithut Scholarship
School Business Partnerships of Long Island, Inc. (SBPLI) has announced the establishment of the Fred Breithut Scholarship, which will be offered to an incoming first-year student at Farmingdale State College. The announcement was made at the Sixty Over Sixty Awards Gala, which was held on November 10.
The scholarship is for four years, with an amount of $1,000 per semester. In order for a student to be eligible for the scholarship, he or she must meet the requirements found here.
The deadline to apply is March 1, 2010. The scholarship winner will be announced at the LI FIRST Robotics Competition, which will take place March 25-27, 2010 at Hofstra University.
“I am very honored to have a scholarship in my name,” said Fred Breithut, President/Founder, SBPLI. “This scholarship is not a testament to me, but rather the thousands of students who have gone through the robotics program and are pursuing a career path in the fields of mathematics, science, technology and engineering.”
